Technology blog #2

We got assigned to write a blog on the article of 5 easy steps to stay safe on nytimes.com, We need to stay safe on myspace and facebook, In this article it talks about ways to acomplish that. Did you know when people go to hire you, they usually check your online chat places for information on the kind of person you are. So they suggest don't put pictures you wouldn't want seen up there. They also suggest making a friends list, to make a friends list you group your contacts together by groups. Next step, use the security, they made it for a reason! Simply control who can and can't see your profile as well as who can add it and who can't. Third step, Don't put personal information on your website. Such as cell phone number, Email address, Street address, ect. Fourth step, let who you want to see your Myspace or Facebook see, block others. Last... Don't share personal information with random people! You don't know who is watchin yours or thier computer. Just play it safe! It's pretty easy!
Myself personally, i have a Myspace, But i don't post my number because i don't want some creep to text or call me. I also use the security, on my Myspace anyone can add me, but only i can choose to accept them. It's pretty nice! Sure i have a ton of friends but i don't give out my password, because i don't want anyone hacking my computer, or adding strange people. Just be safe, whether you use a chat line or one of those dating websites, be smart!
We've all been taught these things, there nothing new to any of us. And there Five simple, simple steps! Now don't be scared and delete your Myspace or Facebook, that's not what were askin, just don't take innapporiate picutes, or post the pictures of last nights party on their. If you do want to make that album private, so only friends can view it. This way strange people or your boss doesn't see. If you don't get your job, you can only blame yourself.
